Tomato-Orange Smoothie


For a great source of potassium, fiber and vitamins A and C, blend tomatoes and oranges. Chill for a couple of hours for a refreshing treat.

Ingredients

1 Cup Grape Tomatoes
1 Large Navel Orange
1/2 Cup Pure Coconut Water
1 Tbsp. Raw Agave Nectar (or 1/2 Banana for a more natural sweetness)

Preparation

Peel orange and blend with all other ingredients until smooth. Add ice or chill for a couple of hours for a cool, refreshing treat. Makes one serving of 12 oz.

Strawberry-Peach Beet Blast


I already know what you're thinking...beets!  Beets may be hard to pair when searching for a smoothie you will actually enjoy. Try them with peaches and strawberries for a delicious, healthy blend.

Ingredients

1 Beet, raw
1/2 Cup Strawberry, halves
1 Peach
1/4 Cup 100% Pomegranate Juice (or 100% Pineapple Juice)

1/2 Cup Pure Coconut Water 
1 Tbsp. Raw Agave Nectar

Preparation

Blend all ingredients in blender until smooth. Makes two servings of 8 oz each.

Frozen Grape Berry Blast


This recipe was submitted by Tom Kutz...


"Chill" out with this smoothie recipe!  With frozen grapes, strawberries, and bananas...this treat will ensure you have a cool day.  Watch out for the dreaded brain freeze!

Ingredients

1 handful of baby spinach

The meat from 1 lime (do not use rind)
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup blueberries
10-12 black frozen grapes
1 handful of frozen strawberries
2 tbsp flax seed
1 tbsp local honey (or more)
Use water or almond milk to the fill line.

Mix all ingredients in the blender and blend.

What a weird combination, you say? Just give it a try. You’ll find this smoothie surprisingly tasty. Steam broccoli for a few minutes if you prefer a less raw taste.

Ingredients

1 Cup Broccoli, raw or steamed 
1/4 Cup Blackberries
1/4 Cup Blueberries
1/4 Cup Raspberries
1/4 Cup Strawberries, sliced
1/4 Cup 100% Pomegranate Juice 
1/4 Cup Pure Coconut Water
1 Tbsp. Raw Agave Nectar

Preparation

Steam broccoli for 10 minutes, if desired. Blend broccoli with all other ingredients in a blender (recommend Nutribulletuntil smooth. Makes one serving of 12 oz.

Ingredients

2 Gala Apples, small
1 Handful Baby Spinach Leaves
1 Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk 1 Tsp. Cinnamon
1 Tbsp. Raw Agave Nectar

Preparation

Ingredients

Strawberries N’ Cream

1/2 Cup Fresh Strawberry Halves
1 Tbsp. Organic Milled Flaxseeds
1/2 Cup Organic Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats, cooked 
2 Tbsp. Raw Agave Nectar
1/2 Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1 Tbsp. Cinnamon
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
1/2 Cup Plain Non-fat Greek Yogurt

Blueberries N’ Cream
1/2 Cup Fresh Blueberries
1 Tbsp. Organic Milled Flaxseeds
1/2 Cup Organic Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats, cooked 
2 Tbsp. Raw Agave Nectar
1/2 Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1 Tbsp. Cinnamon
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
1/2 Cup Plain Non-fat Greek Yogurt

Bananas N’ Cream
1 Medium Banana
1 Tbsp. Organic Milled Flaxseeds
1/2 Cup Organic Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats, cooked 
2 Tbsp. Raw Agave Nectar
1/2 Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
1 Tbsp. Cinnamon
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
1/2 Cup Plain Non-fat Greek Yogurt

Preparation

Cook rolled oats according to package directions. Stir in cinnamon, vanilla extract and agave nectar while oatmeal is hot. Transfer oatmeal mix to blender with choice of fruit, yogurt, flaxseeds and almond milk. Blend in a blender (recommend Nutribulletuntil smooth. Makes one serving each.
